The Corne and the Curse
Socialism policies cause certain effects in a society.
The Pilgrims in New England learned this lesson. Their voyage and enterprise was paid for by an English stock company, and the new s
ettlers were to work for the benefit of the whole company. However, the lack of individual reward led to a lack of individual responsibility. Under the collective approach, not much “corne” was grown.
To avoid starving, the Pilgrims had to change from collective responsibility to individual responsibility. The nineteenth century book Ancient Landmarks of Plymouth discussed the change in that policy.
“Up to that time the company had worked together on the company lands, and each sharing in the fruits of another’s labors, felt little of that personal responsibility which was necessary to secure the largest returns.”
Actually it was against the terms of the stock company agreement for the Pilgrims to work for their own account, but they had to do that or starve. Governor William Bradford gave a firsthand account of what happened.
“So they begane to think how they might raise as much corne as they could, and obtaine a better crope then they had done, that they might not still languish in miserie. At length, after much debate of things, the Governor (with the advise of the cheefest amongst them) gave way that they should set corne every man for his owne perticuler, and in that regard trust to themselves; in all other things to goe on in the general way as before. And so assigned to every family a parcell of land, according to the proportion of their number for that end, only for present use (but made no devision for inheritance), and ranged all boys & youth under some familie. This had very good success; for it made all hands very industrious, so as much more corne was planted then other waise would have been by any means the Governor or any other could use, and saved him a great deal of trouble, and gave farr better contente. The women now wente willingly into the field, and took their litle-ons with them to set corne, which before would aledg weaknes and inabilitie: whom to have compelled would have been thought great tiranie and oppression.”
Even in that small community, socialism had a certain effect. The Pilgrims had two choices to try to grow enough “corne” to keep from starving.
(1) They could appoint a bureaucracy to watch every worker to ensure that he grew more corne.
However, all the bureaucrats would not have been growing corne themselves, and they had to be fed by all the workers. Those workers would certainly not have their hearts in their work, especially as they were under the oppression of the bureaucrats they had to feed; bureaucrats always oppress and lift themselves up above those they are supposed to be serving. So this method would not have worked, any more than the Five Year Plans of the Soviet Union or the Great Society of LBJ worked. Then, when they grew less corne instead of more, the socialists could have demanded more bureaucrats to watch the workers more closely, to make sure they grew more corne.
(2) Or, they could switch to individual responsibility, where everyone ate what he grew.
In fact, after that change to individual responsibility, the Pilgrims grew so much corne that it began to be used as a currency, a medium of exchange when they didn’t have money. Unlike today’s currency, their currency had real value. They could eat their money.
As with today’s liberals, to some it may have seemed cruel to switch to a ‘eat your own corne’ economy. There were some people who were less physically fit than others and there were some people who were just plain lazy. The socialists would argue that a collective approach was better for those less fortunate people who might go hungry. That was untrue, though. Under the socialist ‘eat the other guy’s corne’ approach, they were all going hungry. When they switched to individual responsibility, they had enough corne that most people were well fed, and there was enough left over to share with those were physically unable to grow their own. On a personal basis, everybody would know who was really unfit and who was just lazy.
Socialist government schools have had certain effects on the nation, namely a very inferior education and the developing of a socialist minded people. Educationally, they haven’t grown much corne. Because of that defective socialist education, which the liberals admit, the socialists demand more money for more socialist education to remedy the problems their socialist system created. This is like the corne overseers demanding still more overseers because the workers aren’t growing enough corne.
This happens over and over. Socialism creates certain problems. Then the socialists demand more money, power and government to meet the problems they have created.
Obama created the border crisis by explicitly encouraging illegal aliens to flood the US. Directly because of his actions, thousands of children deserted their families in Central America to make the dangerous trip to Obamaland. Netflix has some documentaries about this process, made before the recent crisis, where children forsake their parents and ride freight trains for hundreds of miles to get to the US southwest, which is often desert country. This is a terrible thing that Obama has done, tearing up who knows how many families and killing who knows how many young people.
Yet now he says that Congress needs to give him money to fix the problem.
Same old process. Socialists create a problem, then demand more power to meet the problem.
We wonder if we now will see the ultimate example of this process.
Obama’s policies are crashing around his head. America is laboring under the Obama Curse. There is no need to sing the song
God Bless America because with the nation’s present direction, that is absolutely not going to happen. Obama has led America to a new Cold War. Obama has succored America’s Muslim enemies and alienated some of its longtime allies. Obama’s America has now established sexual norms that guarantee diseases and plagues. The nation is fractured and fractious as it has not been since the Civil War.
All of this is part of the Obama Curse, which is the curse of cursing God.
What exactly will happen with the Obama Curse?
Who can tell, but we do know that Obama’s socialist anti-Christ policies will bring catastrophe in some form.
And then what happens?
For example, if the Ebola epidemic strikes worldwide and nationwide, what might Obama do?
If the Muslims attack widely and effectively, what might Obama do?
The Russians and Chinese have seen what a charlatan Obama is and are directly discounting him. It is their goal to discredit the US dollar as a worldwide currency and in fact to disable the US as a worldwide power. If they are successful in any of those areas, what might Obama do?
America may erupt in an internal civil war, with uncontrolled violence, which is tacitly encouraged by the liberals. If this happens, what might Obama do?
To face the problems that he directly created, he can demand total power.
For the good of America.
Only for a short time, naturally, to meet the crisis.
To meet the problems that he caused, he can demand more power, to overcome the “haters.” And many of the government educated socialists will agree to give him that power, for him to be able to get something done. Some polls have shown Obama is thought to be the worst president ever, yet other polls consistently show that, in spite of his abysmal failures in all areas of governing, four out of ten Americans still approve of him.
This will be interesting to watch, to see how Obama meets the Obama Curse, and if he wants to then be emperor Obama. Right now this still seems too incredible to come to pass, but a few years ago where we are now seemed too incredible to happen.
How will Bible believers meet the Curse?
By turning to the Bible that they believe in and the God who wrote it.
To the liberals this seems like the sheerest folly, to spend time regularly reading a book written thousands of years ago. Of course, they don’t believe the Bible and have forbidden it in their schools and are now forbidding it in their nation.
The Bible is the difference between us and them.
As might be expected with human nature, most who call themselves Christian do not really use that Bible. They carry it and they give verbal deference to it and they listen to their preacher preach on one verse from it each week, but they themselves mostly do not pore over its pages and pour its words into their own spirits. Almost no one even knows what the Ten Commandments are.
Such casual Christians will not be prepared to meet the Obama Curse, whatever it is.

They examined the scriptures daily, and that was noble. They didn’t just peruse and leaf through, but they examined the words, as if their lives depended on those words. Those scriptures they examined, of course, was what came to be somewhat disparagingly called the Old Testament.
There is a strong spirit of deception and evil that is covering America. As a whole, the churches will not stand against this spirit, any more than they have in the past. For example, almost no churches stand against the anti-Christ government schools and most religiously support them. You will not be able to resist Satan by just going along with your church, because, to whatever degree, your church will probably be going along with Satan, just as they go along with Obama’s schools.
All of this can be very encouraging for several reasons. Here is one. Religion usually devolves to just a form. Times like these separate the form from the function, what is real from what is just religious. God hates hypocrisy, and the fire under the smelting pot separates the dross from the silver.
But we cannot face such challenges as we now face alone. There is only one way to be delivered from the men and women who speak perverse things today.

God is not a socialist. He is looking for individual responsibility –
Character!
We will not stand before the judgment seat of Christ with a political party, or with a church group, or even with a wife or husband. Each of us will stand before the Master as an individual, and he will judge our works that way – not collectively, but individually. Every person will carry his own basket of corne.
Do we have the character and individual responsibility to put first things first in our lives? Will we grow spiritual corne? This can only happen if we fertilize our minds with the nutrient of God’s Word and dig out the weeds in our own human nature. The liberals have thrown the Bible out of their schools and now they are forcing the Bible out of their America. The Bible is the difference between us and them. We need to make sure we take advantage of that difference.
